Season Championship Rules
The ARSCCA Season Championship Rules govern how points are scored and trophies are awarded across the season.
Note: This page is being updated for the current season. Final rules will be posted before the season opener.
PAX Categories
Every competitor selects both an SCCA class and a PAX category at registration. The five PAX categories are:
- Pro — open to all drivers
- Masters — age 55 and older
- Ladies — female competitors
- Novice — no more than 5 prior events of experience (any region)
- Open — drivers compete within bump classes based on their SCCA class
Trophy Eligibility
- Hold a current SCCA membership by July 1.
- Participate in at least half of the season's events (the Novice category requires one fewer event than other divisions).
Scoring
- A single competitor in a class earns 12 points for first place.
- A field with multiple drivers awards 15 points for first, descending to 1 point for tenth place.
Each driver drops their lowest-scoring events based on total participation:
| Events entered | Drops |
|---|---|
| 4–6 | 1 |
| 7–10 | 2 |
| 11+ | scales upward |
Trophy Distribution
Trophy quantities depend on the number of eligible competitors per category, starting with one trophy for 1–3 drivers and increasing with each tier up.
